About Me

Your Photo

I'm a Data Intern at Mission Local, San Francisco. I graduated from the M.S Data Journalism program at Columbia Journalism School in August 2025. I enjoy untangling stories hidden in data and learning new ways to visually represent complicated narratives. Previously I’ve written for The Berkeley Scientific Journal, The Daily Californian and Indian news outlets such as DNA, Mint and Times of India.

Before journalism, I graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in Molecular & Cellular Biology (Genetics) and Data Science. Over the course of 6 years, I’ve researched mating processes in yeast, virulence in Listeria and built computational pipelines to analyze single-cell genomics data.

Me After 5pm: At great peril to my bank account, I’m an extreme foodie. My life would fall apart without my to-do list and I’m infamous for my ridiculously rigorous iced coffee making process.
